Nice hot and gorgeous breakfast that includes cereals and cheese. I really enjoyed extraordinarily friendly personnel that ensures guests have a really good stay. The location is amazing, close enough to shops and restaurants and Princes Street and far enough away to be quieter at night - couldn't be better. Newington district is absolutely worth visiting.

Totally lovely stay for the price. Clean hotel in a nice building near multiple buses going into city center as well as Allison House. Brilliant location, very close to centre. For tea or coffee visit Beetroot Sauvage nearby. Easy check-in.

easy access to holyrood park and famous attractions nearby
After a lovely stroll through the beautiful holyrood park, just a 15-minute walk from the hotel, I enjoyed amazing views of the city from arthur's seat. Plus, the proximity to attractions like the national museum of scotland made exploring edinburgh super convenient.

The choice of breakfast was amazing as was the cooking.
No way of drying the towels in the bathroom. Needs more shelving/hooks in the bathroom.

A Nice Weekend Getaway
The compact but cozy room was good. The nearby cafe served good breakfasts-great cappuccinos! Just a quick tip, make sure to check the heating settings upon arrival for maximum comfort. A charming spot for a short trip.

The comfortable bed and the offer of whisky or sherry in the room.
The smell of cigarette smoke when you entered the building! The low pressure in the shower.

The room was nice and warm , lovely view of the garden ,even in the dreadful Scottish weather.Breakfast was good too , plenty of fruits and cereals ,also eggs , sausages etc served with a stiff Scottish gallantry (that you can meet everywhere , seasoned though with their excellent sense of humour ) .Comfortable bed ,nice to have whiskey and sherry offered , also a selection of teas and coffee in the room .Free parking in front for 6 cars in two rows , no more , which means you have to be prepared to remove yours if needed to make room . It was a positive experience all in all but if I had to choose for the best feature , it must be the room : large , with a warm atmosphere , makes you feel at home
The bathroom is small and has some minor problems , but nothing is perfect right ?This is however compensate by the fact that it was very clean .Also , the hotel is at few bus stations away from the centre , so if you want a late beer somewhere there you have to take the bus and shiver a bit in a bus station, waiting (not too long , mind you) .But I blame the weather mostly , which is by far the worse thing that you can hold against Scotland .

Check in was super easy, love that it was self service. My room had a sick view of arthur's seat, and the bed linen was really soft n comfy. The location is pretty chill, away from all the city noise but close enough to walk there in like 30 mins. The bathroom was modern, a plus!
